Wyoming is a suburb on the southwest side of Grand Rapids, in the rolling terrain of western Michigan not far from Lake Michigan. The region experiences tornadoes during the warm season as Gulf moisture and passing weather systems interact over the Great Lakes, though they are less frequent here than across the plains to the west and south.
